ENG 2390 Winter 2013 African-American Literature

The instructor was wonderful because she is very knowledgable in the subject matter. Instructor also has great enthusiasm for the course and holds great class discussions that relate to the texts and our lives.

 

Overall, the quality of the course was excellent.This class was amazing. I have so much more interest in reading.

 

Erin taught this class perfectly. The strengths of this course would definitely have to be writing structure and clearly stating and effectively organizing topics/points. The subjects were very interesting and engaging.

 

The instructor made a great effort to explain every subject and project to the best of her ability.Papers were graded a little harder than most classes, however, help was generally always available by the instructor and feedback (useful feedback) was always given when asked for.

 

I think that Erin is an excellent instructor and a very pleasant person. She made clear and interesting presentations and was successful in keeping the class engaged. She was not just an easy grader-you had to work!Erin was really easy to talk to, always responds to emails and helps with anything if you ask. She is enthusiastic for this subject and you can tell she puts a lot of effort into the course. Thanks for a great semester, I really enjoyed class and feel like you helped my writing skills grow.

 

Erin Bell has left a lasting impression on me, and the way I read and break down a book. Mrs. Bell is dedicated to her career at Wayne State University, and she always seems eager to teach us and hear whatever contributions we as students have to offer.

 

ENG 1020 Winter 2011

Overall this has been a wonderful class. Professor Bell taught me to not be afraid and to have fun with my writing and express my thoughts. She is young, “hip,” energetic and gave great examples for every assignment. Although the class was @ 8am (I’m not a morning person) I didn’t mind coming to her class.

 

I felt overall that his class was wonderful because my teacher made it wonderful. She took time to work on our papers with us and make sure we understand the material completely. The instructor for the course was very fair and seemed to have knowledge about the subject. I did learn a lot and I wouldn’t mind going to her for any type of help for future papers. She was really a great instructor and I would recommend anyone take her class. She help ed me to understand the work a lot and help me to develop better skills.

 

The true strength of this course laid in the teacher’s ability to keep those in class active and participating.This class was well organized because Erin managed the class with great enthusiasm and interest in the subject.

 

ENG 1020 SUMMER 2010

 

I found Erin to be very intelligent, with great communication skills, well-rounded and an interesting person to talk to. Erin is a great asset to WSU

 

.I really liked Ms. Bell. She made the class very interesting and despite knowing that most students don’t like English, she somehow made the class interactive and fun. I find myself draw to the discussions and looking forward to the class everyday.

 

Ms. Bell is probably one of the most organized professors I’ve had so far (and prepared!)
